EPA Region 5 Deletes Cliff/Dow Dump Superfund Site from National Priorities List, Requests Public Comment
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Region 5 has removed the Cliff/Dow Dump Superfund Site from the National Priorities List (NPL), a list of contaminated sites prioritized for cleanup under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980 (CERCLA). The decision was made after EPA and the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) determined that the site poses no significant threat to public health or the environment, and therefore, further remedial measures are not necessary.
