Changes to U.S. Regulations on Animal Semen Importation
The U.S. government is amending its regulations to eliminate importation requirements for canine semen from anywhere in the world and equine semen from Canada, aiming to reduce regulatory requirements while protecting the health of U.S. livestock. The new rules also require other animal semen to be imported in shipping containers bearing the official government seal of the region of origin.
