DM&E Seeks Authority to Construct New Rail Line in Powder River Basin

The Dakota, Minnesota & Eastern Railroad Corporation (DM&E) has submitted a request to the Surface Transportation Board for permission to build and operate new rail facilities in Wyoming, South Dakota, and Minnesota. The proposed Powder River Basin Expansion Project involves constructing approximately 280.9 miles of new rail line and rebuilding around 597.8 miles of existing rail line to prepare for unit coal trains.
