BP Exploration (Alaska) Receives Authorization to Take Marine Mammals for Northstar Oil and Gas Project in Beaufort Sea

The U.S. government has issued a letter of authorization to BP Exploration (Alaska) to incidentally take a small number of marine mammals during the construction and operation of the Northstar oil and gas facility in the Beaufort Sea, off the coast of Alaska, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act (MMPA) and implementing regulations.
