Airworthiness Directives; Saab Model SAAB 2000 Series Airplanes

This document proposes the adoption of a new airworthiness directive (AD) that is applicable to certain Saab Model SAAB 2000 series airplanes. This proposal would require an inspection to ensure correct installation of certain self-seal couplings in each nacelle, and corrective action, if necessary. This proposal also would require installation of a new clamp to the self-seal couplings. This action is necessary to prevent separation of the self-seal couplings, which could result in loss of engine oil pressure and a flight-crew-commanded engine shutdown. This action is intended to address the identified unsafe condition.
