EPA Exempts Silicone Polymer from Tolerance Requirement
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has established an exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of a specific silicone polymer used as an inert ingredient on crops, raw agricultural commodities, and animals. Cabot Corporation submitted a petition to the EPA under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, which was amended by the Food Quality Protection Act of 1996.
