Perry County Board of Supervisors Seeks Permit to Take Gopher Tortoises for Road Improvement

The Perry County Board of Supervisors has submitted an application for an incidental take permit to the Fish and Wildlife Service to allow the incidental taking of up to two gopher tortoises during the surfacing of a 0.25-mile dirt road with gravel in Mississippi, with measures to minimize and mitigate the impact on the species.
