Alaska Migratory Bird Co-management Council Holds First Meeting

The Alaska Migratory Bird Co-management Council is set to convene its inaugural meeting on March 10, 2002, to initiate the process of formulating regulations for the spring/summer migratory bird subsistence harvest, spanning from March 10, 2002. During this meeting, the council will finalize its operational guidelines, elect officials, review resource data provided by the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and establish regulatory frameworks for seven geographic areas.
