African Growth and Opportunity Act and Generalized System of Preferences Regulations Update

The U.S. government has released interim amendments to the Customs Regulations to implement trade benefits for sub-Saharan Africa under the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP). These changes clarify the standards for preferential treatment and include new requirements for obtaining duty-free treatment for eligible goods.
