U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Withdraws Intent to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Whitney Point Lake Project Modification

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is terminating its intent to prepare a Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the Whitney Point Lake project modification in Broome County, New York, due to lack of significant adverse impacts. The Corps is instead preparing an Environmental Assessment to evaluate the proposed project, which aims to enhance aquatic habitat downstream of the lake during drought conditions.
