Navy Amends Certifications and Exemptions Under International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972

The US Navy is updating its rules to alert mariners in waters where the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, 1972, apply, due to the unique construction and purpose of the USS Enterprise, a naval ship that cannot fully comply with certain provisions without interfering with its mission.
