EPA Approves Additional Control Measures for Serious Ozone Nonattainment Areas

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved the use of additional reasonably available control measures (RACM) for four serious one-hour ozone nonattainment areas, including Greater Connecticut, New York-New Jersey-Connecticut, Springfield, Massachusetts, and Atlanta, Georgia, to help reduce emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
