Forest Service to Apply Notice, Comment, and Appeal Procedures to Certain Projects and Activities

The U.S. Forest Service will implement a new process for certain project and activity decisions, pending the adoption of an interim final rule, as part of a settlement agreement with Heartwood, Incorporated, following litigation between the two parties.
