Death of American Servicemembers Aboard the United States Ship Cole

The USS Cole, a U.S. Navy destroyer, was involved in a tragic incident in which American servicemembers lost their lives while on board. The incident occurred on October 12, 2000, when the ship was attacked by al-Qaeda terrorists while docked in the port of Aden, Yemen.
