NMFS Adjusts Daily Retention Limit for Atlantic Bluefin Tuna Fisheries

The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) has adjusted the daily retention limit for the Atlantic bluefin tuna (BFT) fishery, allowing vessels to catch two fish per day, with specific size requirements, from October 22, 2000, through November 26, 2000, and subsequent adjustments will be made to provide more fishing opportunities without risking overharvesting of the species.
