EPA Issues SIP Call for Alabama to Submit 1-Hour Ozone Attainment Plan for Birmingham Nonattainment Area

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is requiring the State of Alabama to submit a 1-hour ozone attainment State Implementation Plan (SIP) for the Birmingham marginal nonattainment area within six months of the effective date of this final SIP call, due to the area's continued nonattainment for ozone and the inadequacy of the current Alabama SIP.
