U.S. Secretary Amends Federal Student Loan Programs to Implement Teacher Loan Forgiveness and Other Changes

The U.S. Secretary has finalized regulations to the Federal Family Education Loan (FFEL) Program and the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program, which include provisions for teacher loan forgiveness and other changes implemented by the Higher Education Amendments of 1998.
