EPA Approves Massachusetts Air Quality Plan, Enhances Motor Vehicle Inspection Program

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has approved a revised State Implementation Plan (SIP) submitted by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, which establishes an enhanced motor vehicle inspection and maintenance program to improve air quality in the state, effective since October 1, 1999.
