FTC Proposes Rule to Prohibit Unfair or Deceptive Fees

The Federal Trade Commission is seeking public comment on a proposed rule that would ban misleading fee practices, including omitting mandatory fees from advertised prices and misrepresenting the nature and purpose of fees, in an effort to prevent unfair or deceptive charges for goods and services.
