EPA Proposes Revised Regulations for Recycling Hazardous Waste to Make Zinc Fertilizers

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to revise existing regulations to create a more consistent framework for recycling hazardous waste to produce zinc fertilizers, and to exclude certain hazardous secondary materials from solid waste definitions under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The proposal also seeks public comment on regulating mining wastes used in fertilizer production.
