U.S. Pipeline Safety Regulations: Enhanced Integrity Management for High-Risk Pipelines

The U.S. Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) has issued new regulations requiring hazardous liquid operators with 500 or more miles of pipeline to develop and implement comprehensive integrity management programs to assess and repair pipeline segments in high consequence areas, such as populated areas and environmentally sensitive waterways.
