US Department of Agriculture to Mandate Livestock Reporting Program

The US Department of Agriculture will establish a mandatory reporting program for the livestock industry, requiring packers, processors, and importers to submit market information on pricing, contracting, and supply and demand conditions. This program aims to provide transparent data for producers, packers, and other market participants, as mandated by the Livestock Mandatory Reporting Act of 1999.
