US Forest Service to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Montana National Forest Travel Plan Update
The US Forest Service plans to prepare an Environmental Impact Statement for a proposal to update travel management on approximately 390,000 acres of National Forest lands in Montana, covering the Townsend, Helena, and Lincoln Ranger Districts. This update aims to address motorized travel activities in the Blackfoot, Divide/Little Blackfoot, and South Belts areas, which are currently governed by the 1994 Helena National Forest Travel Plan.
