US Government Launches Loan Program to Expand Broadband Services in Rural America

The Rural Utilities Service (RUS) has launched a new loan program to finance the construction and installation of broadband telecommunications services in rural America, with $100 million in loan funds made available by the US government. The program aims to bring high-speed internet access to rural areas with populations under 20,000, where such services are currently unavailable.
