MMS Prepares Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Proposed Eastern GOM Oil and Gas Lease Sale 181

The Minerals Management Service (MMS) has prepared a draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for a proposed oil and gas lease sale in the Eastern Gulf of Mexico (GOM), scheduled to be the only sale in the region during the current 5-year oil and gas leasing program, and the first proposed sale in the Eastern GOM since 1988.
