HUD to Deploy FHA TOTAL Mortgage Scorecard for Mortgage Industry Use

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) plans to roll out the FHA TOTAL Mortgage Scorecard, a tool that assesses the creditworthiness of FHA borrowers, to the mortgage industry. The scorecard, developed by HUD, will be used within automated underwriting systems to predict borrower default and increase homeownership opportunities.
