EPA Expands List of Ozone-Depleting Substitutes Under Significant New Alternatives Policy Program
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is expanding the list of acceptable substitutes for ozone-depleting substances (ODS) under its Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) program, which aims to reduce the use of substances that deplete the stratospheric ozone layer. The EPA is also seeking public input on potential updates to the program, including the review of new substitutes and the possible expansion of the program to include manual cleaning operations.
