US EPA Establishes Emergency Tolerance for Clomazone in Sugarcane

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has issued a regulation establishing a time-limited tolerance for residues of clomazone in sugarcane, in response to a crisis exemption declared by the state of Louisiana under the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA). The tolerance will expire on December 31, 2002.
