Federal Government Issues Interim Regulations for District of Columbia Retirement Benefit Payments

The U.S. Department of the Treasury is releasing new rules and seeking public input to implement a 1997 law that governs payments to certain District of Columbia public employees, including police, firefighters, teachers, and judges, based on their service as of June 30, 1997.
