Conservation Reserve Program-Cropland Eligibility and Private Sector Technical Assistance

The Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) proposes a series of amendments to the Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) regulations. These proposed amendments would make certain orchard lands, vineyards, berry lands, and hay lands eligible for enrollment, provide for acquisition of private sector technical assistance, and make minor technical and clerical adjustments to the regulations. This action would allow producers greater flexibility in enrolling in the CRP, thereby allowing CCC greater flexibility in conducting the CRP, and provide enhanced environmental benefits under the CRP.
