Risk-Informing Special Treatment Requirements

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is considering promulgating new regulations that would provide an alternative risk- informed approach for special treatment requirements in the current regulations. This action is a result of the Commission's continuing efforts to risk-inform its regulations. The NRC invites comments, advice, and recommendations from interested parties on the contemplated approach for this rulemaking.
