Nuclear Regulatory Commission Approves Revised Spent Fuel Storage Cask System

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission has amended its regulations to include the Transnuclear West, Inc.'s Standardized NUHOMS-24P and NUHOMS-52B cask system, allowing holders of power reactor operating licenses to store spent fuel under a general license, following the approval of Amendment No. 2 to Certificate of Compliance No. 1004.
