Nuclear Regulatory Commission Proposes Amendment to Standardized Spent Fuel Storage Casks

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) is proposing to update its regulations to allow the storage of spent fuel in the Transnuclear West (TN West), Inc. NUHOMS storage system, under a general license, following the approval of Amendment No. 2 to Certificate of Compliance (CoC) No. 1004, which includes changes to fuel qualification tables and storage of burnable poison rod assemblies.
