Oklahoma to Assume Regulatory Authority Over Nuclear Materials, NRC to Discontinue Oversight

The State of Oklahoma has signed an agreement with the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to assume regulatory authority over certain nuclear materials, allowing Oklahoma to exempt individuals and organizations from NRC regulations, effective August 30, 2000, and September 22, 2000, respectively.
