Nuclear Regulatory Commission to Host Meeting on Burnup Credit in PIRT for Spent Fuel Shipping Casks

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will convene a gathering of 15 world-class technical experts to develop a Phenomena Identification and Ranking Table (PIRT) that enables the granting of burnup credit for spent fuel shipping casks, addressing critical safety concerns in PWR spent fuel transport casks.
