NHTSA Receives Petition for Importation of 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has accepted a petition from a company to allow the importation of 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier passenger cars that do not meet all applicable Federal motor vehicle safety standards, as they are substantially similar to a certified US model and can be easily modified to comply with safety regulations.
