Federal Acquisition Regulation to Update Definition of Commercial Items

The Civilian Agency Acquisition Council and the Defense Acquisition Regulations Council have agreed on a final rule to amend the Federal Acquisition Regulation, clarifying the definition of commercial items and their application, in line with changes to the Strom Thurmond National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1999 and the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2000.
