Transfer of 4.9 GHz Band From Federal Government Use

The Federal Communications Commission proposes to allocate and establish licensing and service rules for the 4940-4990 MHz band, which was recently transferred from Federal Government use to private sector use, and grants part of a petition to revise rules relating to this band, in order to comply with a Congressional mandate to transfer spectrum to the private sector and enable new services and service enhancements.
