Rules to Facilitate Future Development of SMR Systems in the 800 MHz Frequency Band

The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is seeking public comment on the construction requirements for 800 MHz Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) commercial licensees operating on non-SMR channels through inter-category sharing. The commission aims to determine the construction status of Business and Industrial /Land Transportation (BI/LT) frequencies authorized for SMR use.
