NHTSA Receives Petitions from 13 Motorcoach Manufacturers to Renew Exemptions from Shoulder Belt Requirement

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has received identical petitions from 13 final-stage manufacturers of 'entertainer-type motorcoaches' to renew temporary exemptions from a shoulder belt requirement for side-facing seats on motorcoaches, which is set to expire on March 11, 2024.
