FDA Announces Public Meetings on Safety of Imported Foods

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is hosting public meetings to discuss proposed new procedures for ensuring the safety of imported foods, following a plan announced by President in a radio address on December 11, 1999, and to gather public comments on the proposed procedures.
