FDA to Host Public Workshop on CLIA Waiver Criteria for Medical Devices

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will host a public workshop to discuss and clarify the criteria for medical devices to obtain a Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA) waiver, a process that allows certain devices to be used in clinical settings without the need for CLIA certification.
