FDA Approves New Animal Feed Ingredient Monensin for Coccidiosis Prevention and Weight Gain

The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has amended its animal drug regulations to allow the use of monensin in animal feed, specifically for preventing coccidiosis and promoting weight gain in cattle, following approval of a supplemental application by Elanco Animal Health.
