FDA Reopens Comment Period for Dietary Supplements Containing Ephedrine Alkaloids

The FDA is reopening the comment period for dietary supplements containing ephedrine alkaloids from August 10 to September 30, 2000, in response to a new report on phenylpropanolomine and risk of hemorrhagic stroke, and a public meeting on August 8 and 9, 2000, to discuss the safety of these supplements.
