FDA Confirms Effective Date for Color Additive Regulations

The Food and Drug Administration has confirmed the effective date of August 29, 2000, for a final rule that allows the safe use of D&C Violet No. 2 in absorbable sutures for general surgery, and also revised the nomenclature of polyglactin 910 to a generic term.
