Federal Guidelines for Evaluating Operational Tests and Deployment Projects for Intelligent Transportation Systems

The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) has released guidelines for evaluating operational tests and deployment projects for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to ensure objectivity and independence of project evaluators, and to establish evaluation funding levels based on the size and scope of each test or project. The ITS Joint Program Office plans to disseminate these guidelines to affected program offices within the DOT.
