EPA Grants Temporary Exemption for 2,6-Diisopropylnapthalene on Potatoes
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has granted a temporary exemption from the requirement of a tolerance for residues of the pesticide 2,6-diisopropylnapthalene (2,6-DIPN) on potatoes stored in facilities managed by Platte Chemical Company. This exemption, requested by Platte Chemical Company under the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act, will expire on September 22, 2000, eliminating the need to set a maximum permissible level for 2,6-DIPN residues on potatoes.
