NIST Announces Update to Voluntary Product Standard for American Softwood Lumber

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is replacing the 1994 standard with a new one, which outlines the sizes, requirements, and grading rules for softwood lumber, and establishes an accreditation and certification program to ensure compliance.
