USDA to Prepare Environmental Impact Statement for Land Exchange in Oregon's Blue Mountains

The US Department of Agriculture's Forest Service will prepare an environmental impact statement for a land exchange proposal between the federal government and Clearwater Land Exchange-Oregon, which aims to exchange approximately 5,700 acres of non-federal land for 3,939 acres of federal land in the Blue Mountains of Northeastern Oregon, with implementation scheduled for January 2001.
