Draft Environmental Impact Statement for Elephant Butte/Caballo New Mexico Reservoirs Resource Management Plan Released by the Bureau of Reclamation

The Bureau of Reclamation has released a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) for the Elephant Butte/Caballo Resource Management Plan, which analyzes the environmental consequences of proposed management activities for approximately 78,000 acres of Federal lands and water in south-central New Mexico. The public is invited to provide comments on the DEIS through upcoming public hearings.
